Overview
The Site Safety Supervisor supervises daily site activities, enforces workplace safety rules, minimises accidents, and ensures the project site remains fully compliant with DOSH standards.
Requirements
1. Must possess a valid Competent Site Safety Supervisor registration with DOSH (Yellow Book holder).
2. Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a construction-related field.
3. At least 1 to 3 years of working experience in construction site safety supervision in Malaysia.
4. Thorough understanding of OSHA 1994 and Factories and Machinery (BOWEC) Regulations.
5. Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct routine site walkthroughs to identify hazards and rectify unsafe acts or conditions.
2. Lead mandatory safety briefings and toolbox meetings with subcontractors and site workers.
3. Review, update, and implement HIRARC and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
4. Enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among all site personnel and contractors.
5. Monitor subcontractors' compliance with the site's safety management system.
6. Report near-misses, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to the Safety and Health Officer and assist in investigations.
7. Inspect machinery, scaffoldings, first-aid kits, and fire-fighting tools for compliance with DOSH legal requirements.
8. Maintain up-to-date safety logs, safety inspection summaries, and site incident reports.
