Site Engineer / Site Supervisor

Overview BGC Development Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 22 October 2004 and provides project management services for developments in Bintulu, actively participating in civil and structural engineering works. The company is seeking a Site Engineer / Site Supervisor to supervise construction projects at Bintulu. Requirements 1. Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering / Building / Quantity Surveying or equivalent (especially for Site Engineer). 2. At least 3 years of working experience related to site management and supervision in the Construction Industry. 3. Good technical knowledge and hands-on experience. 4. Good communication skills in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia. 5. Excellent time management skills and able to meet tight deadlines. 6. Strong creative sense, team player, able to work independently and self-motivated. 7. Sound technical knowledge and capable in solving technical and site issues. 8. Preferably possess own transport. Responsibilities 1. Supervise construction projects to make sure they meet technical specifications. 2. Ensure that construction projects are completed within planned cost and time. 3. Keep accurate records of material and labour costs incurred in the construction process. 4. Monitor the progress of the construction work and performance of the site workers at the site. 5. Hold meetings with site workers and subcontractors on behalf of the Project Manager and the Site Manager. 6. Assist the Project Manager and Site Manager in creating schedule for the construction project. 7. Convey information about the progress of the project and performance of the site workers to the manager. 8. Assist Contractors and Engineers in interpreting technical designs. 9. Ensure the smooth day to day operation of work activities at the construction site. 10. Maintain good relationship with site workers, contractors and suppliers. 11. Ensure that any change in project plan is executed by contractors. 12. Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with local or state regulations. 13. Identify any potential problem at the site and work to prevent it. 14. Position Type. 15. Full Time / Contract position(s) available. Location Bintulu, Sarawak.
