Senior Accounts Executive/Accountant

Overview Manage the full set of accounts for a construction firm in Kuching, Sarawak, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Requirements 1. Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA). 2. Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. 3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. 4. Solid understanding of bank facilities, including overdrafts, term loans, trade facilities, bank guarantees and loan documentation. 5. Deep understanding of construction contracts, project claims and project cost tracking is highly preferred. 6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude. 7. Able to work independently. Responsibilities 1. Manage the full set of accounts, ensuring timely and accurate monthly closing, reconciliations and financial reporting. 2. Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management to drive business growth and maintain healthy liquidity. 3. Prepare detailed financial statements and provide actionable insights to management regarding financial performance, position and cash flow trends. 4. Liaise with bankers, external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and local authorities to ensure compliance. 5. Maintain accurate financial records and accounts in compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations. 6. Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and oversee the accurate preparation of tax returns. Location Kuching, Sarawak
