Senior Account Executive and Account Executive role based in Kuching to handle full sets of general accounts, prepare management reports and support audits and tax matters for an oil palm plantation group.

Overview An established oil palm plantation group with operations across Sabah and Sarawak is looking for a Senior Account Executive and Account Executive at its Head Office in Kuching. The role is responsible for full-set accounting, timely management reporting and liaison with auditors, tax agents and relevant authorities. Requirements 1. Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Finance and Accounting or an equivalent professional qualification. 2. At least 2 years of relevant experience. 3. Committed with a strong sense of responsibility and able to meet tight deadlines. 4. Team player with a proactive and positive attitude, able to work independently and efficiently. 5. Demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness and the ability to maintain confidentiality. 6. Candidates with similar job functions and the potential to take on such responsibilities are encouraged to apply. 7. Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure and tight deadlines. 8. Familiarity with accounting systems will be an added advantage. 9. Required skills include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software. 10. Required languages include Bahasa Malaysia and English. Responsibilities 1. Handle and monitor full sets of general accounts, including updating and verifying ledgers, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end closing and statutory reports within the on-time cut-off dates. 2. Prepare monthly management reports accurately and on time together with financial analysis. 3. Maintain well-organised and thorough financial reporting records and ensure all accounting is performed within company policies and procedures. 4. Attend to company audits and audit queries, and handle all tax-related queries for timely year-end closing. 5. Act as liaison person with auditors, tax agents, IRB, customs and relevant authorities, including new applications such as GST/SST. 6. Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements. 7. Maintain good documentation and filing systems. 8. Follow up on any discrepancies or disputes. 9.
