Overview
Bormal Engineering is seeking a Safety & Health Officer in Kuching, Sarawak to implement and enforce health, safety, security and environment plans and to build a strong safety culture on construction sites.
Requirements
1. Preferably a Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
2. 5 years of work experience.
3. Registered with DOSH as a Safety & Health Officer (Green Book Holder).
4. Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
5. Excellent knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations and standards.
6. Ability to conduct training, inspections and incident investigations effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Implement and enforce the Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Plan.
2. Develop and enforce the company's Emergency Management and Response Plan.
3. Organize and conduct HSSE training sessions and awareness programs for all employees and subcontractors to foster a strong safety culture on-site.
4. Monitor, compile and analyze HSSE statistics to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions.
5. Attend and lead monthly HSSE Committee meetings, report on safety performance, incident investigations and required improvements.
