Tropical Rhythm Sdn Bhd, a growing infrastructure and property development contractor, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be based in Kuching and support cost control and contract administration for its projects.
Requirements
1. Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of working experience in QS or cost control.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity measurement software.
4. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic construction environment.
Responsibilities
1. Perform quantity take-off and measurement for various types of projects, including building, civil, and renovation works.
2. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.
3. Administer and manage contractual matters, including evaluation of variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
4. Conduct cost analysis and prepare financial reports to support project budgeting and control.
5. Prepare and verify monthly progress claims, work done certifications, and payment recommendations.
6. Coordinate and liaise with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
