Overview
qualified candidate is required to supervise and coordinate daily Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at project sites in Sarawak. The role covers installation quality, site inspections, coordination with project stakeholders and compliance with Malaysian regulations.
Requirements
1. Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant M&E site supervision experience.
3. Good knowledge of building M&E systems and construction practices.
4. Able to read and understand M&E drawings and specifications.
5. Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
6. Able to supervise subcontractors and site workers effectively.
7. Able to work at project sites and meet project deadlines.
8. Possess own transport and willing to travel if required.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate daily Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at project site.
2. Monitor subcontractors and workers to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project programme.
3. Supervise installation of electrical, plumbing, AC, fire protection and other M&E systems.
4. Check materials delivered to site against approved specifications and material submissions.
5. Read and interpret M&E drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
6. Monitor workmanship, quality and progress of M&E works.
7. Coordinate M&E works with civil, structural and architectural teams to prevent clashes and delays.
8. Conduct site inspections and identify defects, non-conformance and incomplete works.
9. Coordinate testing, commissioning and inspection of M&E systems.
10. Prepare daily site reports, progress records, inspection checklists and photographic records.
11. Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and the project team.
12. Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and relevant Malaysian regulations.
13. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
