Laboratory Technician

Overview BinaPuri, a public listed company on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia with more than 40 years of experience in civil and building construction, is hiring a Laboratory Technician for its Sarawak operations. The role covers engineering laboratory and construction site material testing. Requirements 1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a technical-related field. 2. Preferably 1-2 years of experience in laboratory testing and related work. 3. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Responsibilities 1. Perform relevant engineering laboratory and construction site material testing as required. 2. Ensure all data are accurate and that details of all tests are recorded and retained. 3. Compare test results against targets, norms and/or specifications, and liaise with the appropriate personnel accordingly. 4. Prepare quality reports and maintain records of all test results. 5. Prepare summary reports on non-routine samples, test cross-check programmes and report on minor technical experiments to troubleshoot plant problems. 6. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure they are in good and accurate operating condition. 7. Maintain the lab inventory and lab procurement system. 8. Observe safety rules and good housekeeping practices, and conduct safety talks. 9. Carry out basic troubleshooting and calibration of lab testing equipment. 10. Working Days. 11. Monday to Friday.
