Junior Site Engineer (Kuching & Site)

Overview Konnex Sdn Bhd is an electrical contractor specialized in building and home automation, serving SESCo projects and various government agencies. The company also provides design services for electrical and automation systems. The Junior Site Engineer will be based in Kuching and various project sites, managing site teams, overseeing electrical works, and supporting project execution to ensure timely and quality delivery. Requirements 1. Applicant must be a citizen of Malaysia. 2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar related degree. 3. Fresh graduates are welcome. 4. Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD Electrical. 5. Basic fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated designs. 6. Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals. 7. Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in team environments. 8. Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in a high output environment. 9. Ability to balance multiple projects. 10. Travel as required to support projects. Responsibilities 1. Manage, lead and plan for the site team and provide necessary assistance in electrical works. 2. Ensure the subcontractors and workers are implementing the OSH operational control. 3. Study shop and construction drawings in order to perform works as per project specifications. 4. Ensure that all works are carried out based on the work instructions and project requirements. 5. Provide guidance and work instructions to supervisors or sub-contractors in daily activities. 6. Carry out inspections and tests at project site from time to time. 7. Coordinate in procuring of materials for project use. 8. Attend all site meetings and handle comments from consultant or client. 9. Perform any other duties set by the company or his/her direct superior, which are not included in the above mentioned descriptions engineering. 10. Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements and automation safety standards. 11. Create and finalize designs to meet project requirements. 12. Create accurate Bill of Materials. 13. Define equipment and parts from external suppliers. 14. Conduct cost and time estimation. 15. Project Execution. 16. Oversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of project, expected quality, and allotted budget. 17. Electrical and software design of customized solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems. 18. Able to maintain project scope and identify project creep. 19. Support manufacture, build and validation of systems which include actuators, relays, communication networks, touch screens, pushbuttons and automation integration. 20. Create customer documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings. 21. Ability to architect programs that are simple to test, well documented and versatile. 22. Project Completion Servicing. 23. Maintain accurate records as a file according to quality standard. 24. Commission customized products and systems onsite and at customer facilities. 25. Servicing. 26. Modify systems upon customer's request and document the amendments accordingly. 27. Provide high quality pre-sales, design-in and post-sales technical support to customers. 28. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level. Location Kuching and various project sites.
