HR Assistant

Overview Pembinaan JBS Sdn Bhd is looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the HR Executive in managing daily HR operations in Kuching. The role focuses on recruitment coordination, payroll data preparation, employee records maintenance, and Sarawak immigration and expatriate documentation. Requirements 1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. 2. 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in HR administration or a similar support role; fresh graduates with a strong drive to learn are welcome to apply. 3. Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce. 4. Basic familiarity with AutoCount Payroll Software or similar HRMS/payroll systems; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word). 5. Basic understanding of Malaysian labor standards; exposure to the Sarawak Labour Ordinance is highly preferred. 6. High level of confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities 1. Maintain physical and digital employee personnel files, manage leave tracking, and assist with corporate insurance updates. 2. Compile monthly attendance data, check overtime claims, and key data into the payroll software for review. 3. Post job openings, conduct initial resume screening, coordinate interview schedules, and prepare onboarding kits for new hires. 4. Help gather and track documentation, passport validity, and submission materials for foreign worker quotas. 5. Support the HR Executive in documenting employee grievances, tracking performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with the Sarawak Labour Ordinance. Location Kuching, Sarawak
