The Finance Manager/Accountant will be based at Demak Laut Industrial Park, Kuching and will lead the full finance functions including management reporting, budgeting, taxation and statutory audits.

Overview The Finance Manager/Accountant will be based at Demak Laut Industrial Park, Kuching and will be responsible for covering all aspects of the finance functions, including operational finance, corporate finance, treasury, taxation and management reporting. Requirements 1. Possess a Degree in Accounting and/or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent). 2. Minimum 6-8 years of relevant working experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial position. 3. Working experience in management reporting, cost accounting and budgetary control in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience at group level will be an added advantage. 4. A team player who is able to deal with people of all departments and levels. 5. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis. 6. Ability to work independently, take initiative and set priorities. 7. Ability to communicate financial data to non-financial operational managers to drive improvements. Responsibilities 1. Cover all areas of the finance functions including operational finance, corporate finance, treasury, taxation as well as management reporting. 2. Ensure timely and accurate closing of monthly accounts and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, analyzing variances between actual results and budgets, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. 3. Actively participate in short/long term budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, monitor results against forecast and highlight them to respective departments. 4. Evaluate and analyze financial information periodically to ensure effective cost control. 5. Responsible for management and financial reports, forecast cash flow, tax computation and tax planning, and transfer pricing documentation. 6. Handle the complete planning and audit activities to ensure completion of internal, statutory and external audits. 7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to the statutory financial reporting process, including finalizing audited financial statements, preparation and validation of Malaysian Business Reporting System (MBRS) and tax statutory submission. 8. Manage and liaise with auditors, tax agent, company secretary, solicitors, bankers and other relevant government authorities. 9. Undertake ad-hoc functions, assignments and related duties as and when required. Location Demak Laut Industrial Park, Kuching, Sarawak
