SCIB Concrete Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is looking for a Credit Executive to manage credit control and accounts receivable activities in Kuching, Sarawak. This role covers credit assessment, collection follow-up, and reporting to management.
Requirements
1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of credit management, debt collection procedures, and credit risk assessment.
4. Familiarity with accounting principles and credit control best practices.
5. Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
7. Able to handle difficult collection matters professionally and tactfully.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or accounting systems is an advantage.
9. Meticulous, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
10. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
11. Team player with a positive attitude and a high level of integrity.
12. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
13. Applicants with experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or the legal collection process will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities
1. Match purchase invoices against GRN.
2. Credit control duties and administration.
3. Establish credit limitations on customer accounts and handle special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment.
4. Establish and update customers' credit activities.
5. Prepare collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
6. Review and assess existing and prospective customers' creditworthiness and provide proactive feedback of credit risk profiles to management.
7. Evaluate results of investigations, prepare reports of findings, and suggest credit terms or limits to management.
8. Follow up and liaise with customers to ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts.
9. Process and review credit applications for approval by management.
10. Monitor prompt issuance of reminder letters and statements according to company credit policy.
11. Liaise and follow up with Sales and Solicitors on litigation cases.
12. Any other tasks as and when assigned by management.
