Overview property developer in Kuching is looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer to oversee site construction activities, coordinate design and technical matters, and ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications and safety regulations. Requirements 1. Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. 2. Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), where applicable. 3. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant site supervision experience. 4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications. 5. Familiar with quality management systems, safety and statutory compliance. 6. Proven ability to manage site coordination and technical issues. 7. Possess a valid CIDB Green Card. 8. Language proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. 9. Spoken Mandarin is an advantage. 10. Possess own transport. Responsibilities 1. Collaborate with architects and other engineers on building design and construction. 2. Evaluate materials and select the most efficient and cost-effective options for construction projects. 3. Coordinate with drafters to produce structural, foundation and reinforcement detail drawings using AutoCAD. 4. Prepare and submit design reports and blueprints to local authorities for building permits. 5. Assist in preparing technical specifications and material quantities. 6. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and contract requirements. 7. Review and endorse method statements, shop drawings and material submissions. 8. Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with codes, standards, approvals and safety requirements. 9. Liaise with architects, M&E engineers and surveyors to ensure the architectural layout integrates with the structural framework. 10. Coordinate all construction activities and conduct routine site visits to confirm construction matches approved design specifications. 11. Supervise structural testing such as soil tests and concrete cube tests, resolve RFIs (Requests for Information) from contractors, and ensure all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards are met. 12. Identify defects, non-conformities and technical risks, and ensure timely rectification. 13. Monitor progress, report technical constraints, and support progress claims, variations and EOT assessments. 14. Maintain site records, inspection reports and technical documentation. 15. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as delegated. Location Kuching
