leading civil and structural engineering consultancy in Sarawak is seeking a BIM Modeller (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) to join the team in Kuching. The role involves developing accurate 3D BIM models for MEP systems and ensuring coordination across project disciplines.
Requirements
1. Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Drafting or a related field.
2. Proficient in Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD.
3. Experience with Navisworks or AutoCAD MEP is an advantage.
4. At least 2 years of MEP BIM Modelling experience preferred.
5. Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
1. Develop accurate 3D BIM models for MEP systems, including HVAC / ductwork, plumbing and sanitary piping, fire protection, and electrical systems.
2. Model and place mechanical and electrical equipment (pumps, chillers, AHUs, switchboards, transformers, generators, etc.), including creating and managing Revit families where required.
3. Prepare detailed MEP construction drawings, schematics, schedules and documentation.
4. Perform clash detection and coordinate MEP models against civil, structural and architectural disciplines (e.g. via Navisworks).
5. Collaborate closely with M&E engineers to implement design changes.
6. Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and company standards.
