Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview VIP Management Services Sdn Bhd is an established building construction and project management company. The company is looking for a highly dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Kuching, Sarawak. The role involves supporting pre-contract and post-contract duties throughout project planning, execution, monitoring and closure. Responsibilities 1. Assist in the tendering process, including sourcing of materials and sub-contractors, preparation of Bills of Quantities and pricing. 2. Assist in monthly interim claims, including carrying out site valuation and site measurement, following up on issuance of Payment Certificates from consultants/main-contractors, and monitoring payment status. 3. Evaluate sub-contractors' payment claims and variation orders to ensure work done is paid accordingly. 4. Assist in Variation Orders preparation, including checking drawings, site measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities. 5. Assist in purchasing of materials and keep track of purchasing status. 6. Attend to all other duties as directed by the Senior Quantity Surveyor and/or Project Manager. Requirements 1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent. 2. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 3. Knowledge of Glodon software is an added advantage. 4. Candidate must be fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin; other dialects are optional. Location Kuching, Sarawak.
