Assistant Design Engineer

Overview marine design consultancy based in Sibu, Sarawak is looking for an Assistant Design Engineer to join its marine design team and support ship design and engineering projects for the shipbuilding, shipping, and oil & gas industries. Requirements 1. Diploma or Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline. 2. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD 2D/3D and Rhinoceros. 3. Knowledge of marine or structural analysis software is an added advantage. 4. Two years of relevant experience is preferred; however, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 5. Good communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Responsibilities 1. Prepare and revise 2D drawings, 3D models, engineering calculations, and technical documentation under guidance. 2. Assist with site surveys, measurements, inspections, and report preparation. 3. Coordinate design information with engineers, clients, shipyards, vendors, and classification societies. 4. Ensure assigned work meets project requirements, quality standards, and company procedures. 5. Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
