Overview
Lucky-Best Construction Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced Account Cum Admin to manage daily accounting and administrative tasks at our Kuching office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full set accounts and exposure to the construction industry.
Requirements
1. Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting and administrative work.
3. Experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
4. Experience in handling AutoCount accounting software is highly preferred.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
6. Knowledgeable in handling a full set of accounts.
7. Experience in preparing invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, debit/credit notes, and account reconciliations.
8. Knowledge in preparing monthly closing, account schedules, and supporting documents for audit purposes.
9. Familiarity with SST, payroll-related matters, and statutory submissions will be an advantage.
10. Understanding of construction-related documentation such as delivery orders, project billing, supplier invoices, and subcontractor claims is preferred.
11. Experience in handling customer accounts, credit control, and following up on outstanding payments.
12. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with good problem-solving abilities.
13. Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
14. Practical and proactive mindset with strong time management and organizational skills.
15. Good sense of judgment and ability to make sound decisions in daily tasks.
16. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
17. Good command of English (written and spoken).
18. Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn.
19. High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records and documentation.
20. Willing to perform administrative duties and support other departments when required.
Responsibilities
1. Handling daily accounting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
2. Maintain accurate accounting records.
3. Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, debit/credit notes, and related accounting documents.
4. Perform bank reconciliations and assist with monthly account closing activities.
5. Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on overdue payments.
6. Handle customer accounts, billing matters, and credit control activities.
7. Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documents and assist with payment preparation.
8. Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
9. Assist with payroll preparation and related statutory submissions.
10. Prepare reports, account schedules and supporting documents as required.
11. Handle construction-related documents such as delivery orders, project billing, and subcontractor claims.
12. Liaise with customers, suppliers, banks, and relevant parties on accounting and administrative matters.
13. Manage general office administration, correspondence, and document control.
14. Assist management and other departments with ad hoc tasks and operational requirements.
